American University in the Emirates students are facing charges for parking illegally while the University provides a large parking space.

Dubai – June, 2017

For the past couple of years, parking your car as a student was pretty difficult most of the time in the university. Students used to park illegally and in areas that were prohibited to park in but they were “forced to” since the only excuse to that is being late to class. However, the university did provide a generously big and spacious parking lot across the campus. The parking lot is only allowed for AUE students, and it can handle nearly 500 cars.

Even though the parking is big enough to have all these cars to park in. The students still decide to park illegally with the existence of the old parking lot that’s close to the campus and most of them have the same old excuse and the addition of being “lazy” since it is a few blocks from the campus.

This issue is very serious and it doesn’t only damage the students but it also damages the university’s look in terms of the students attitude. And the most dangerous part is that some park their cars in the emergency area and the handicap spots which is really devastating. This problem should be controlled for the upcoming years and students should start obeying the rules even though it is a choice not to but ethically speaking it is very rude and degrading to them and the that reflects on the university itself.
